I’ve read some really great books in the last couple of years. Here’s a list of those books.

The value of these books is relative to whatever the reader takes out from them. Just putting them in the ‘read’ list of Goodreads won’t make the reader rich, successful or in any way different.

  • One of the best books I have read in the last period of time. It is useful to anyone interacting with another human being daily, it’s really an eyeopener and it can help you find out more about yourself and understand better the people around you

  • Google’s “Jolly good fellow” take on accessible meditation. In order to understand everybody else, we first have to get to know ourselves better. Good read, even though you might not fully apply this manual on meditation, there’s plenty of things to take and apply daily without much effort.

• Team Geek: A Software Developer’s Guide to Working Well with Others by Brian W. Fitzpatrick, Ben Collins-Sussman

  • Every team has its dynamics and geek teams tend to be a bit different. What does it mean to be a member or a leader of a geek team? Good read for anyone working in the IT business.

  • Our brain is the most complicated system in our body, it doesn’t hurt to know more about how we could use it in an efficient way. It includes many conclusions of recent studies about how the brains works, my favorite: brain cells do regenerate! I’ll let you discover in what situations.

  • Times change all the time, what was enough for the industrial era, might not be enough today. Be relevant, be indispensable!

  • 37signals is a company with its employees distributed all over the world. The common patterns of working in an office do not apply for them. But some of their workflow could be applied in any office.

  • What makes Bill Clinton such a great talker? A very good book for anyone that wants to find out some tricks about public speaking.
