I wish more companies would have sustainable options to extend the life of their products
Two examples of companies and products that offer or set the ground for sustainable ways to extend the life of their products so there is less waste. These are just two that I have heard of recently, I’m sure there are many more.
1️⃣ Dell sustainable laptop Concept Luna: a laptop that can easily be taken apart and replace its major components. This is just a concept, they don’t currently sell any laptops like this right now. https://lnkd.in/dF7_G5m4
2️⃣ The Swedish shoe brand Kavat offers Repair Service for many of its shoes. With repair service, you pay a fixed fee, send your Kavat shoes to the factory and they replace certain parts and recondition them https://lnkd.in/d-zc6Cew
➕ Fitbit doesn’t have these kind of services, so I bought a third-party battery compatible with my smartwatch and replaced it myself. 5+ years on this watch and counting! Sorry Fitbit, I will not buy a new smartwatch anytime soon.
