The app generation experiment takes its next step: a small platform where regular users chat with a bot to create a functional spec for an Android app. Then a coding agent builds the app from the spec. When it’s done, it gets uploaded to the platform and users can download and install it directly.

Not entirely straightforward. The coding agent makes tons of mistakes that need handling somehow. And it’s hard to know everything upfront without actually testing the build. But it’s way more feasible than before!

It’s fun and ambitious, I’m autonomous in the playground, it moves pretty fast, and there are many paths forward. FAFO for the world! (with the F’s swapped).
